Chevrolet has built the Corvette since 1953, and for most of that time it was America's front-engine sports car. The C8 generation moved the V8 behind the driver for the first time, giving the Corvette mid-engine proportions and handling closer to a European exotic. Ours is a red C8 with a naturally aspirated 6.2-liter V8.
The Corvette C8 rents for $599 per day. Every rental includes 100 miles per day, with additional miles billed at $5/mile. Renters must be 21 or older, and every rental requires a refundable security deposit — $2,000 with valid insurance, $10,000 without. Massachusetts sales tax and a small statutory surcharge apply on top of the daily rate.
